Hello all!

Whether you're a close friend here to support my passions and dreams, or a stranger who stumbled here by happenstance, I'm so grateful you're here!

If you don't know me, my name is Sami Magee (she/her), I'm a 20-year-old from central Indiana, and a full-time student/creative/day-dreamer. I'm a rising junior at the University of Missouri studying Journalism, emphasizing  Strategic Communications with a minor in Women & Gender Studies (Fight Tiger)! I also am a Starbucks lover, a picky eater, and a social media connoisseur. 

I've wanted to start some version of this lifestyle blog for as long as I can remember. For many years, I imagined myself writing blog entries in a busy cafe, trying my best to embody Carrie Bradshaw (if Sex in the City was set in the suburbs of Indianapolis), or transforming the guest room, my bedroom closet, or the pantry into my very own podcasting studio. The fear of judgment from my peers, strangers, and judgy Karens I barely know prevented me from biting the bullet and going after this dream. However, as I've continued to grow older and a little more mature, I've slowly started to strengthen the muscle in my brain that allows me to no longer care what people think. 

The best response I have to those who are here to judge is that I am simply trying.
